How Croisée works
Croisée does not hand you strangers picked at random thirty kilometres away. The app starts from a simple observation: the people you could meet are people you already walk past.

1. Create a profile in two minutes
A username, a password, a four-digit recovery code. An email address is optional and only ever used to recover the account if you lose your credentials. You then add a photo and a few lines about yourself.

2. Say what you are looking for
Age range, maximum distance, type of relationship. These preferences filter your suggestions from day one and can be changed at any time from the Preferences tab.

3. The app spots shared routes
When your path overlaps with another member's, Croisée logs a crossing. That signal, rather than an opaque algorithm, is what pushes a profile to the top of your suggestions.

4. Like, and the conversation opens
A mutual like unlocks messaging. Nobody can write to you without that agreement, which spares you the unsolicited inbox most dating apps come with.
What Croisée does with your location
Your location is used to compute crossings and an approximate distance. It is never shown on your profile: other members see a distance, not an address. You can switch location sharing off at any point, and the app keeps working from your stated preferences alone.
Free, and what Croisée Gold adds
Signing up, suggestions, likes and messaging are free, with no cap on messages. Croisée Gold is a €9.99 monthly subscription that adds comfort: see who liked you, rank higher in suggestions, use advanced filters. It is cancelled in one click from your account and ends when the period you already paid for runs out.
